SMALL BATCH, SLOW FASHION FOR YOUR bébé AND YOU.
Bébé Moiré is a soft sweet celebration of biodiversity, ethical manufacturing, sustainable production and handmade magic, with each piece unique to the next.
Inspired by the whimsical world that children inhabit and designed for the adventures they set out on, our small batch collections are designed to be purchased mindfully and worn with ease.
We honour the hands that make our textiles, the planet that creates our fibres and dye, and the bodies who wear our garments.
May your days be filled with wonder and joy.
Some things are too beautiful to throw away. A scrap of fabric, a remnant of colour, a fragment left over from something else — these are the beginnings of the Offcuts by Hand collection. Every offcut from bébé moiré collections, destined for the bin, is sent to the women of RaasLeela in Ahmedabad, India, where it is transformed by hand into something new. No machines. Only skill, patience, needle and thread.
RaasLeela was founded by Hetal Shrivastav around a simple belief: that a good work environment is a basic human need. Around fifteen women gather at the studio each day, working in a circle within Gujarat's centuries-old handstitching traditions — embroidery, appliqué, hand-sewn seams — and every piece they make is entirely unique. Handmade artworks that take weeks to complete, made by a person, in a circle, with others.
Each piece arrives in a hand-stitched drawstring bag, also made by RaasLeela. More pieces coming — circle back soon.
