Curtain lengths designed to adorn windows, doorways or anywhere else you please.
The Moiré Magic curtains celebrate and create a fusion of the patterns and colours unique to two of my suppliers in India – where the hand-spun yarn of my artisan partners in the north (Himalayas) is transformed by handloom artisans in the western desert of India (Gujarat) creating an intertwining of traditional crafts and skills in collaboration.
Each piece measures 2.7m long and can be simply draped or hung or with the use of curtain rings at varying lengths depending on the height of the space. Sewing can also be arranged at an additional cost depending on the pocket or detail specific to your home and project.
The yarn used throughout the entire piece is a special hand-spun cotton variety, known as Kala cotton – the original pure old world cotton of India. Kala cotton is indigenous to Kachchh and by default organic, as the farmers do not use any pesticides and synthetic fertilisers. It is a purely rain-fed crop that has a high tolerance for both disease and pests, and requires minimal investment. It is both resilient and resurgent in the face of stressful land conditions.
I’m excited to be able to bring this special magic from the hands of my artisan partners to your homes.
