Following on from the recently sold out ‘Fruits from the Earth’ kids rainbow tees, Colours from Clouds is our second natural-dyed rainbow collection – this time for adults. Featuring sixty unisex merino wool vests, naturally-dyed in a spectrum of colours, these special pieces offer some cosy arms-free warmth as the southern hemisphere moves into the cooler months and the northern hemisphere edges towards Summer. May these vests remind you to embrace the clouds on a cold overcast day, seeing the colours and life that they bring to this world.
Each vest has been hand-knitted by the same partners who create all of our knitwear. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas in Northern India, these artisan knitters are all women who are able to work from home, allowing them to earn money while caring for their children and families. We love to imagine the hands and hearts who work slowly on these vests, and the stories and vibrant activity that surrounds them as they knit.
The yarn used is a special hand-spun merino wool sourced from New Zealand. It is scoured using bio-enzymes and then dyed using Madder, Woodfordia and Myrobalan extracted from natural origins from various parts of India. Harvested rainwater heated by solar energy is used at all stages of yarn processing.
Each vest takes anywhere between 20-25 days to be made and will come packaged in a hand stitched bag featuring the colourway of your vest embroidered on the front.
Garment care
Hand-wash in cold (or preferably room temperature) water or machine-wash separately in cold water on delicate cycle (do not use a front loader washing machine, as the spin cycle may shrink the merino fibres).
Use mild, eco-friendly (natural) detergent soap only.
Flat dry inside out.
Do not tumble dry. Do not Soak. Do not bleach.
Store away from moisture and keep folded flat in your custom hand stitched bag.
Size guide
This collection is unisex and we have adjusted the length of the size L and XL to suit male bodies. As a piece designed for layering, we feel that size S will be perfect for those who usually wear XS. If gifting, please check measurements listed below and measure against existing garments when selecting best size.
